Moda: Guide to the UK's biggest fashion trade show

Entry price: Moda is free to register for trade buyers. For non-trade buyers there is a fee of £10, and for students a fee of £5.


What is Moda fashion show?

Bringing fashion to life twice a year in Birmingham, MODA fashion is a celebration of arts and fashion and showcases the newest upcoming trends. This year’s show will allow access to SS19 collections which buyers can get their hands on.


Visitors to the show can find key trends, hot retail content, inspiring catwalk shows, social events and more pack the schedule over the three days of live fashion and draw over 10,000 fashion buyers, press and influencers.


The exhibitors attending the show are both international and local companies - so you get a real variety of brands showcasing their products to keen buyers.

What are the hottest trends to expect SS19?

You can expect to see various directions of trends at this year’s Moda for SS19, just a few of these include:

‘The cool summer’

This trend features mainly relaxed and minimalist silhouettes - including tunic dresses and classic shift styles There’s lots of lighter materials, like silks, linens and thin cottons. With lots of light and tonal colours - the pieces are the perfect additions to brighten up your store.

‘The stripes’

Think stripes in all directions. You can expect these to make a regular appearance at Moda. It’s a pattern which isn’t too overbearing, and can give a great pop of colour to pieces.

‘Everything yellow’ It seems brands are all jumping on this trend for s/s 19, and nothing says summer like a dash of yellow. From patterns to solids, you can’t miss pieces this summery colour in brands’ collections.

Travelling to Moda fashion show

Is there parking available at Moda?

NEC offers free parking for all visitors to Moda. There are lots of signs and parking attendants to point you in the right direction.


Travelling by bus, plane or train to Moda

If you're traveling by bus, head to Birmingham Airport and from here you can get to the NEC via the free air-rail link.


The train station is actually joined to the NEC - and you can walk between the two under a covered path.


It’s best to catch a flight which lands in Birmingham Airport - as this is the closest to the venue. Once you arrive, you simply take the free and fast air-rail link to Birmingham International Railway Station located at the upper level of Terminal 1 (This train runs every two minutes and only takes 90 seconds).

Top tips for visiting Moda

  • Write down all the seminars which will be of use to your business - you don’t want to miss out
  • Make sure you’ve prepared your route to the show
  • Carry a pen and pad to make notes after speaking to the exhibitors
  • Check your bags and coats so you don’t have to carry them around
  • Leave the show slightly early to avoid the rush
